Efficiency, that's the name of the game when you want to build muscle fast and maximize your muscle building.  You want the muscle building techniques that will give you the most benefit while maximizing your time. You can do as much exercise as you want, but you won’t gain the muscle you want because you aren’t incorporating the right muscle building techniques to help build muscle. The best muscle building techniques include strip sets, drop sets, negatives, supersets and flexing. By incorporating these techniques into your muscle building routine, you will explode your muscle growth in the shortest amount of time possible.

Strip Sets

Strip sets are the perfect muscle building technique to help burn out your muscle and accelerate growth.  Basically in a strip set, you use a barbell and start out with the maximum workout weight that you normally do in the first set.  As you continue with your second set, you basically strip off a predetermined amount of weight and perform that set and then the next set continue stripping off weight and perform that set until you reach your last set stripping off even more weight.  This allows you to do more and also burn out your muscles which will allow it to grow in a short amount of time.

Super Sets

Before I go on, I would like to say that supersets are great for building muscle, but they are not good for developing strength, but because we live in a world where time is always becoming more and more scarce, supersets are a great addition to your muscle building techniques by cutting out or cutting down the amount of rest periods between 2 exercises.

In a superset, you perform 2 exercises back to back with little to no rest in between.  By performing back to back exercises, you increase the intensity and also overload your muscles faster with fewer weights forcing your muscles to break down quickly with little to no rest.  In this way, supersets are an excellent way to build muscularity, but are not very effective in developing strength.

Drop Sets

Drop sets are a very close runner up muscle building technique next to strip sets.  Strip sets use a barbell while drop sets use dumbbells to achieve muscle growth.  With drop sets, you again start off with your maximum weight on the first set and then as you complete the first set, you drop that weight and move on to a lighter dumbbell and continue with that lighter dumbbell for the duration of that set and then again drop down to the next lower dumbbell weight and complete that and so on.  You should take a pause and rest for 10 seconds in between sets and continue until you exhaust muscles performing your lifts until you can’t go on any more.

Negatives

Yet another technique to add to your arsenal of muscle building techniques are what is called negatives.  Negatives are the non-contracting muscle movements you perform after flexing your muscles.  By lifting a weight and flexing your muscles, you are contracting them, a positive, and by lowering the weight, you are un-contracting your muscles, this is called a negative.

Negatives put more strain on the tendons and other supportive structures than just muscles alone.  Stronger tendons should also be a point in mind to go along with muscle building because it helps to strengthen your core foundation for muscle growth.  Stronger tendons help to maximize your strength as you perform bench presses in the future, so it should be strongly considered as a part of your muscle building technique.

Flexing

Flexing is a type of isometric exercise and another favorite among explosive growth muscle building techniques.  Basically with flexing, you do not perform any lifts with free weights, but you basically flex them and allow them to contract so that it remains pumped and ready for more on your next lifts.  By what was just explained above, flexing should be done during rest periods in between your workouts to help keep your muscles ready before you perform lifts again with weights.

The five muscle building techniques described above are the best muscle building techniques to help accelerate your muscle growth.  By incorporating these techniques into your workouts, you will quickly see explosive muscle growth.

All but one of these muscle building techniques, supersets, will help you increase your body strength by as much as five percent in about a two week period.  While increased strength can be realized within two weeks, truly desirable results will be realized in six months.
