Burning Foods
Beans
Even though popular
thinking of beans make them out to be the villains of
gastrointestinal disruptions, beans and bean products are
especially good as it contains a high amount of good
protein, fiber and iron, but are low in
fats.
Beans are also healthy to
eat as they help to reduce your bad cholesterol
(LDL).
The best types of beans that
you should eat are:
1.
Soy
beans
2.
Lima
beans
3.
Kidney
beans
4.
White
beans
5.
Navy
beans
In the list
above, the best beans to me are soy beans as they are
especially good sources of protein and are the beans that
are used to make tofu products.
Whole Grain
Foods
Whole grains
are especially good fat burning foods for you as it takes
a longer time to digest and also more energy, thereby
increasing your metabolism and helping you burn
calories.
I know we talked about
intake of bad carbohydrates, but whole grains are part of
the good carbohydrates family and are good for you,
besides, your body does require a certain amount of
carbohydrates and this is the right way to get
it.

Whole grain
foods include whole grain breads, cereals and snack
products as well.
Make sure you check to make
sure the whole grain products are not processed,
otherwise, they contain bad carbohydrates and will not do
you any good.
Oatmeal
Oatmeal is another
fat burning food that is high in soluble fiber which
helps to flush out the bad cholesterol in your body and
is also a preventative food in reducing the chances of
heart disease and colon cancer.
Because of this, I
recommend oatmeal as a good fat burning food because of
the its many health benefits and cholesterol fighting
ability.
Oatmeal is
probably best unflavored and if you need to have
something to sweeten it, you can add some good fruits
such as strawberries, cranberries, blueberries and so
forth.
You can also find oatmeal
combined with other food products as
well.
Green
Vegetables
Everyone
should know that eating a lot of vegetables is good for
you and as a fat burning food, this is no
exception.
Leafy green vegetables are
a good fat burning food as they are low in calories, full
of vitamins, minerals and fiber.
The fiber is the fat
burning ingredient.
Some really good fat
burning vegetables are:
1.
Salad greens
(lettuce)
2.
Broccoli &
Cauliflower
3.
Spinach
4.
Mushrooms
5.
Asparagus
6.
Tomatoes
7.
Cucumbers
8.
Zucchini
Olive Oil & Green
Tea
I know the
inclusion of olive oil and green tea together seems
strange, but the fact that both have excellent
antioxidant properties is the reason I combined the two
together.
Olive oils are
part of your good fats that help to reduce
cholesterol.
An ounce of extra virgin
olive oil provides you with 85% of your daily value in
monounsaturated fat, which I your good
fat.
Of course you wouldn’t just
drink olive oil by itself, but some people have done this
as a morning drink and it was purported to reduce hunger,
I wouldn’t suggest taking it straight
up.
You can combine this with
breads, such as your whole grain bread and use it as a
dip, combining it also with some balsamic
vinegar.
Now green tea
is another product that is high in antioxidants and full
of health properties.
It is a very good health
drink, but the powder from ground green tea leaf can be
used as an additive to any foods that you eat and can be
part of the ingredients.
Green tea contains a lot of
polyphenols and catechins, both of which are
antioxidants, which are purported to prevent cancers. But
aside from this, the catechins in green tea are known to
prevent absorption of fat in your body and stabilize your
glucose levels.
This makes green tea an
excellent fat burning food.
Fruits
Besides being
a good source of vitamins, minerals and antioxidants,
fruits such as berries are good fat burning foods because
of the fiber in the fruits.
Citrusy fruits are also
good in fat burning as it contains vitamin C, which is
know to retard the fat absorption into your body and
flushes it out.
Below are a few fruits that
are excellent fat burning foods:
1.
Grapefruit
2.
Strawberries
3.
Oranges
4.
Blueberries
5.
Bananas
6.
Grapes
7.
Cantaloupe
8.
Limes &
Lemons
9.
Peaches
10. Pineapple
Nuts
Nuts such as
almonds and walnuts are also a good fat burning food
source.
These foods contain vitamin
E, magnesium and antioxidants as well as fiber and
protein for your fat burning.
Nuts can be mixed with food
or taken as a snack.
When taken as a snack, it
helps to control your cravings for food and also helps to
control your body’s fat burning
hormones.
So there you
have it, my list of the top 10 fat burning
foods.
Although there are others
out there, I just wanted to get you started with the ones
above.
You can combine the foods
above to make your own creative combinations and make
things exciting in your diet.
The main thing to get from
this in your muscle building goals is that you need to
combine proper diet including these fat burning foods and
the proper muscle building exercises together in order to
create an effective weight loss and muscle building
